Destruction Of Government Property At Collectorate Office : CBI Court Sentences Three Accused Advocates

The CBI court has sentenced three accused advocates for destructing government property at the Collectorate Office.

The Court of Special Judicial Magistrate, CBI cases, Lucknow sentenced three accused advocates namely Shri Sunil Tondon, Shri Dharmendra Mishra and Shri Sunil Bajpai to one year’s Imprisonment with total fine of Rs. 7,500/- in a case related to destruction of government property at Collectorate Office, Etawah (UP) and causing hurt to Govt. servants by unruly behaviors on 15.09.2000.

CBI registered the instant case, on the basis of an order of the Allahabad High Court passed in Crl. Misc. (PIL), by taking over investigation of case crime no. 303/2000 of PS Civil Lines, Etawah (UP).

After investigation, CBI filed charge-sheet on 28.06.2011 against accused Veerendra Singh Yadav, Avneesh Chauhan, Sunil Tandon, Sunil Bajpai and Dharmendra Mishra u/s 143, 147, 323 r/w 149 and 332 of IPC and against Veerendra Singh Yadav  u/s 153 IPC also.

During trial 2 accused Avneesh Chauhan and Veerendra Yadav died and proceedings against them were abated.

After trial, the Court found the remaining accused guilty and sentenced them accordingly.
