SSC CGLE 2023 Impersonation Scam: Jaipur CGST Inspector Gets Termination Notice

The Jaipur CGST Inspector, Narendra Lal Meena was given a termination notice alleging that the inspector was guilty of using an impersonator to clear all examination stages.

In a shocking revelation, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has uncovered a major impersonation scam in the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2023.

Following an official complaint, Shri Narendra Lal Meena, who was allocated to the Jaipur CGST post as an Inspector through CGLE-2023, has been found guilty of using an impersonator to clear all examination stages. Consequently, his services have been terminated with immediate effect.

SSC Investigation Reveals Impersonation Fraud

The SSC’s inquiry has confirmed that another candidate appeared in place of Shri Narendra Lal Meena at all stages of the examination. Key findings from the investigation include:

  • Mismatch in Photographs & Signatures: The image and signature captured during registration and the final examination stage were inconsistent with those provided at the application stage.
  • Repeated Use of an Impersonator: The impersonator who appeared for Narendra Lal Meena was previously involved in impersonating four other candidates in various SSC exams.
  • Falsified Admission Certificates: Discrepancies were found in the photographs and signatures on the admission certificates issued for different exam phases.

Immediate Termination of Service

In accordance with Rule 5 (1) of the Central Civil Services (Temporary Service) Rules, 1965, Chetan Kumar Jain, Pr. Commissioner of CGST & CX Commissionerate, Jaipur, issued an order terminating the service of Narendra Lal Meena. As per the rule, he will only be entitled to claim an amount equivalent to his pay plus allowances for a notice period of one month.

Crackdown on Examination Malpractices

The SSC has been under increasing pressure to curb examination fraud and maintain the integrity of its recruitment process. This case highlights the urgent need for stricter verification measures, including biometric authentication, to prevent impersonation scams in future government exams.
