CBIC Accepts PCC Satendra Vikram Singh’s VRS To Enable Him To Join As CESTAT Technical Member

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) accept the voluntary retirement of Shri Satendra Vikram Singh, Chief Commissioner of Customs & Indirect Taxes to enable him to join as the Technical Member of the Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT).

“The President of India is pleased to accept the voluntary retirement of Shri Satendra Vikram Singh, Chief Commissioner of Customs & Indirect Taxes (Emp. Code: 0639; D.O.B.: 25.06.1965), from the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) under Rule 43 of the CCS (Pension) Rules. 2021 with effect from 10.02.2025 (AN),” the CBIC notified.

The President has appointed Satendra Vikram Singh who was a Chief Commissioner, Delhi Customs (Prev.) Zone to the post of CESTAT Technical Member.

Educational Qualification

Satendra Vikram Singh has completed B. Tech (Electrical Er) from IIT Roorkee and M.Tech, IIT Delhi, Satendra Vikram Singh. For 3 years he worked as Southern Eastern Rly Assistant Electrical Engineer from May 1988- September 1991.

Work Experience

Satendra Vikram Singh has a plethora of work experience. He started as a probationer from September 1991 to May 1993. He worked as Assistant Commissioner from 1993 to 1994 at Jamshedpur, Bareilly and Kanpur. He was appointed as a Deputy Commissioner at Kanpur from 1995 to July 2002.

While adding more feathers to his cap, he was promoted as a Joint Commissioner in Indore from September 2002 to December 2023. Furthermore, he was appointed as a Additional Commissioner in Meerut from 2003 to June 2007. He was appointed as a Additional Commissioner, at Pune from July 2007 to Aug 2009.

He Became a Additional Director, DGGI Pune from September 2009 to June 2012. He was appointed as Commissioner (Adjudication) at Ahmedabad from June 2012 to June 2013. He was appointed as Additional Director General, DG Systems from June 2013 to January 2015. He was appointed as a Commissioner, Central Excise Audit-I Delhi from January 2015 to October 2018.

Satendra Vikram Singh became a Commissioner, ICD Patparganj from Nov 2018 to July 2019, Pr. Commissioner, CGST Meerut from Aug 2019 to July 2021, Pr. ADG (Hq) DGGST, New Delhi from Aug 2021 to July 2022, Pr ADG(Adj) DGGI New Delhi from Aug 2022 to May 2023 and Chief Commissioner Customs Preventive Zone Delhi from June 2023 till date.

On 18/10/2024 Satendra Vikram Singh was appointed as a CESTAT Technical Member, Ahmedabad.
